Salon-Horrible experience!

Year 2013. Lagos, Nigeria. Came home from school after about 2 years away from home. Natural hair was 2 years old. Young, thriving, dark, bouncing, with little or no splits. I was happy and hair was happy.
So i decided to visit a local salon to have french braids. Horrible experience!
The lady (cant call her a stylist) complained so much about my hair. That was the first clue to leave. I sat there. Then i saw her bring a rat tail comb. She started racking the hair. I still sat there. As if there was glue between the chair and my bum. My goal was to do 10 french braids, all going back. She did braids 1,2,3 - still racking with the tiny comb. I couldnt take it anymore. I got up! But the damage was already done.
2 years worth of nurturing. Gone. I can never forget.
Moral of the story - follow your instincts. Nature and grow your hair by learning how to care for it or entrusting it in the hands of a trustworthy stylist.
