To whom it may concern,
Hi my name is Mpume, from Durban, South Africa. I had grown out dreadlocks up to a bit longer than shoulder length, the school I attended told me to cut my dreadlocks off because they weren't part of the school's code of conduct. I had started growing them since 2003 and had to cut them in 2010. Its hard growing 4c hair especially when it's super coiled, it takes long to see growth. I was extremely sad and angry because growing out natural hair is takes long to grow. My mom refused to fight the case just so I could still attend the school. A sense of racism could explain the act because white people aren't told to cut their natural hair if its not part of the school code conduct. The school told me I had to be a Rastafarian in order to keep my dreadlocks. My hair journey has been extremely frustrating because its not growing out the way I want to. I've never cut my hair short, only relaxed it once throughout the years and grew out my afro again. In the picture below that was taken this year, shows my hair currently. I would love to win this wig to experience what it feels like to have natural big hair.
Regards
